Versatile in her aesthetic craft as a singer-songwriter and producer, Natascha Polké weaves techno-inspired beats with melancholic, dreamy vocals, and has released tracks on reputable labels like Anjunadeep, Stil Vor Talent, This Never Happened, The Gardens of Babylon, and more. The Swiss performer aims to create music that resonates with audiences on a profound level, leaving an imprint on their open hearts and receptive minds. Her latest EP Into You illustrates her vibrant musical taste and beaming talent.
Pursuing music has always been her foremost ambition and last year, she finally had the opportunity to take her music around the world and perform in diverse, captivating locations. “This experience showed me that it is important to allow myself to dream and that with dedication and focus, aspirations can turn into tangible achievements.” In the competitive landscape of the music industry, she yearns to be recognized for the quality and authenticity of her work. “My goal is to create deeply moving experiences whether you’re listening to my tracks or watching my performances.” Her passion for music is palpable both in the studio and on the stage, where she strives to create experiences that resonate profoundly with listeners.
Navigating the realm of social media presents its own set of challenges, particularly in striking a balance between professional showcasing and personal sharing. “Social media is a lot about letting people see into your personal life, and I haven’t really managed to find the right balance yet. I want to share enough to be relatable and genuine, yet maintain a level of privacy that feels comfortable to me. My intention is to create a space where my music takes center stage while offering glimpses of who I am outside the studio, all without compromising my personal boundaries.” Delving into her Swiss heritage and hometown, she draws immense pride from her lineage steeped in artistic talent. Her father’s side of the family is filled with musicians, and her great-uncle, Sigmar Polké, was a famous artist. “Continuing this tradition is something I’m completely proud of. On another note, my maternal grandmother is Welsh and fluent in the ancient Celtic language, and together, we’re working on a track that integrates this beautiful language as a way to honor and keep it alive.”
For the upcoming year, her main objective is to complete her debut album with hopes for a release in 2025. Additionally, she’s in the process of applying for a U.S. visa, which is a significant step that could pave the way, open the door for her to come over, and fulfill a long-held dream of establishing a presence in the American music scene.
